Together these came from 27:15 of raw footage and carry 136 placed sound effects. Every caption, graphic and sound is timed to the exact spoken word, and each video is mastered to Instagram loudness and checked frame by frame at phone size before export.

Same brief each time: find the story in the raw footage, cut the retakes and dead air, then give every beat a visual gag and a sound.

A freelancer tells the story of a real-estate edit that went wrong at every step. I kept the last clean take of each line, cut on the pauses, and gave every complaint its own picture.

A landscape whiteboard doesn't survive a 9:16 crop, so the whole frame lives in a rounded card on a crayon board. The nine skills he lists pile up as cards, collapse when he says he hadn't made any money, then get crossed off until only one is left.

An airport story about the one piece of advice he gives 21-year-olds. The edit plays the punchline straight: he tells a fan to unsubscribe from his own list, and the picture freezes.

Puzzle, not painting

Styled after Will and Alex Hormozi. Cut from the same desk clip, from a speaker who talks at about 310 words a minute.

One drawn landscape carries the whole argument: it's sold as a framed painting, crossed out, shattered into nine jigsaw pieces, printed on the puzzle box, then rebuilt piece by piece until “trust the process.” He barely breathes, so the cuts sit in his few real pauses to give the delivery room.

A founder on picking a business partner, then the host's answer to what happens if it all goes to zero. The widescreen podcast stays whole in a card on crumpled paper, and the lower half turns each line into a hand-made cutaway.

UGC ad: one body, three hooks 0:45

A direct-response ad for Meta, built so the hook can be tested. The body stays the same and three different openings are swapped in front of it: a problem call-out, a pattern break (five serums crossed out to one) and a result-first product shot. Everything on screen lands on a spoken word, with word-by-word captions, ingredient chips, a checklist, a review card, the offer and a tap-to-shop button. This cut plays all three hooks and then the shared body. Kalma is a made-up brand; the footage is licensed stock and the voice-over is AI.

Gaming: excuse bingo 0:23

A running gag for a comedy stream edit. The gameplay sits on top and a bingo card of classic Fortnite excuses sits below. After each kill the clip freezes on the damage number, the player who just died sends their excuse as a DM, and that square gets stamped. Gaming: velocity montage 0:22

The technical side of Fortnite editing: twelve kills cut to a 140 BPM trap beat, one per bar. Every kill is speed-ramped, full speed in, slow motion through the hit, double speed out, so the damage number lands on the beat with a flash, shake and zoom punch. A stream-highlight layout: the full gameplay frame on top, a zoomed crop of the fight below. After each kill the clip freezes and three judges flip up scorecards with one-line verdicts. Gaming: how to hit 200s (a tutorial) 0:21

A comedy edit made for streamers: Fortnite clips with no commentary, so the jokes come from the edit. The hook freezes on a 200 pump, a tape rewind starts the “tutorial”, and each step gets one gag: a 198 m snipe measured on screen, an instant replay, holy light on a lucky AR spray, and a stream chat that keeps typing “lucky”. Generated for the BLIS overview, where 19 stills set the scenes. The prompts ask for real Philippine locations, natural light and documentary framing, so the images sit next to real screen recordings without looking synthetic.

How an edit gets made

The same pipeline sits behind every reel above.

  1. Transcribe. The raw footage is transcribed word by word with timings, so I can read the whole take and pick the story before touching the timeline.
  2. Cut on the pauses. Retakes go, the last clean take stays, and every cut lands in a real silence, never mid-word. I play the cut audio back through the transcriber to catch any clipped or leaked words.
  3. Build the graphics to the word. Captions, cards, stamps and zooms are animated in Remotion (React) and pinned to the spoken word they belong to, so a gag can't drift off its line.
  4. Source and place. B-roll, sound effects and music come from Envato Elements under licence, with Claim-Clear-ready music for anything that gets posted.
  5. Check at phone size. Contact sheets of every scene's first frame and every gag, read at phone scale: nothing over the face, no caption collisions, no blank frames.
  6. Mix and master. Voice levelled, music ducked under it, sound effects on top, mastered to −14 LUFS stereo.
